I had a bicycle accident several years ago. Long story short, I sustained multiple tears in my left shoulder. Electing the conventional surgery was a long shot for me given my age. The surgeon told me there would be a 50% chance that his repair of my rotor and labrum would most likely not hold up. I did not want the mechanical shoulder alternative offered, so I opted for the PT approach. Amazingly, after about six months, was pain free. My shoulder was stronger and my mobility was good, all things being considered... However, my PT insurance was exhausted. After a while, it became evident to me that I still needed some professional guidance to keep my shoulder strong and mobile. Enter Ethan via FaceTime. Our initial meeting was basically about fact-finding. The next session Ethan monitored me to see what I was doing. He took notes and asked me some more questions. After that, Ethan put together a preliminary program for me to approve that incorporated what had been successful after leaving PT, along with some suggested workout alternatives using several different approaches. This not only kept my shoulder strong and mobile, but it was so helpful to have Ethan watch what I was doing, comment on my form and energize my routine. I cannot thank him enough for his guidance to keep me on track.
